Title Kanu a tsaw ra myit | Mother's love
Description Translation (Gun Mai & Keita Kurabe)
The title is "Mother's Love." Long long ago, there were a widow and her son in a village. One day, all the villagers drained the pond to catch fish. The son was embarrassed because his mother was not beautiful. He gave the fish he caught to other beautiful mothers and girls. He gave all the fish he caught to others. His poor mother could only catch small fish and shrimp from the riverside. When night fell, the villagers all went home. The son thought. "I gave a lot of fish to my friends today." He followed the people, wondering, "Will they invite me to have dinner?" He did not return to his house, and went around the village playing his flute. But when he played his flute in front of the house, no one invited him to dinner. He went to other houses and played his flute, but no one called him. Finally, when he returned home, his mother said. "Boy, I've been waiting for you to come home for dinner." "Where have you been?" "I have cooked the fish and shrimp I caught today." "Come and eat with mi," his mother called him. At that moment, he realized that, even if she was not beautiful, she was the only one who loved him.
