The story I am going to tell you is about a woman who did wrong to her mother. Once upon a time, there was a woman. She had many children, but only one daughter. She had many sons, but only one daughter. After she got married, she couldn't see her family for a long time. When her mother heard that she had children, she really wanted to see her son-in-law and grandchildren. So the mother went to her daughter. She went to the place where her daughter's family lived. She was old and poor, while her son-in-law's family was rich. However, she visited her daughter not because they were rich, but because she missed them. She looked very poor and pitiable. When the villagers saw the mother, they said to the woman, "Hey! Your mom is coming." The woman just replied, "Ah." When the mother came closer, she said to her friends, "She is not my mother. She can't be my mom." Even when she saw her mother, she kept denying, "How could she be my mother? She is not my mother. My mom doesn't look like her!" Although she was her biological mother, she looked down on her and did not acknowledge her as her mother. She didn't allow her mother to enter her house. She didn't take her home. She let her mother stay at the doorstep and said, "Don't come inside! Stay there." Her mother stayed there. When she fed her mother, she fed her like she was feeding a dog. She placed the food on a plate and set it on the doorstep. She treated her mother like that. The mother was upset and angry. She thought, "I came here because I miss her. I am her mother and the one who gave birth to her. How could she treat me like this?" She said to her daughter, "You said I am not your mother! I raised you by breastfeeding you!" She cursed her daughter, reminding her of the breast she was raised on. And she went back to her home. The daughter suffered because she had wronged her mother. Soon, she passed away. Some of her children also died because of her mother's curse. They died soon after the woman's mother went back. The son-in-law realized that his wife and children had died because of his mother-in-law's curse. So he took his mother-in-law home and took good care of her. He took very good care of her and treated her well until her last breath. The mother-in-law died at his home. He also held a funeral for her when she passed away. He received many blessings for taking care of his mother-in-law. He and his children received many blessings and became rich again. His children also got married and started their own families. They had become a big family. Children should never treat their parents badly, no matter what their parents look like. Children can be intelligent and sharp, even if they are born to mute parents. I don't know about Burmese, Shan, and Chinese people, but the Jinghpaw people should never mistreat their parents. We must speak kindly to our parents, no matter how they look. We should call our parents 'Mom' and 'Dad' in a kind way. We should also know how to receive blessings from them. We must not treat our mothers and fathers badly.
