Title Tsawra myit majan (War of love) with English translation
Description Translation (Seng Pan)
This is about the war of love. Once upon a time, there was a princess in a palace. The princess was so beautiful. The princes from nine countries liked the princess. Among them, a very poor man was also keen on the princess. The princess and the poor man fell in love. So, the poor man said, "I am so poor. I can't give what your father would ask for. But I will save the money I earn every day, and I will marry you with that money although it would be just half of what your father calls on." The poor man made the promise to marry the princess. On the other hand, the princes from nine countries often came and offered gifts to the princess. One day, the king thought to himself and said, "Those who like my daughter come to my palace." As the princes from nine countries heard it, they brought the gifts and came to the palace. They offered the gifts they took to the king and the princess. Then the king told them that the princess was sick. The king was handed gold and silver. After all of them returned to their countries, the poor man also came to the palace and said, "This is my tiny saving. I had used it to buy the pills for the sick princess." He offered the pills to the king. And he also went back home. The king thought to himself again, "I will give my daughter's hand to the man who truly loves her." Therefore, he planned to test them again. After one month, he made a call once more. He announced, "Those who really love my daughter come to me." The princes from nine countries and the poor man came to the king. Then the king said, "It's been already a month since the princess passed away. The funeral was also accomplished. Thus, I will hold worship for her today. Since you like my daughter, I ask you to share some money to offer the worship." As soon as the princes heard about the princess, they disappeared one after another. After they all had gone, only the poor man stayed. He brought his saving. He offered the money to the king and said, "I love her so much. As my remembrance of the princess, please use this for her worship." After it, he left. When he reached the palace gate, he was called. "Young man! Come back!" the king shouted. The poor man also returned to the king. "My daughter is not dead. I've just tested you. The princess is in the room," the king said. He called out his daughter and said, "I tried out all the men who like my daughter. Among them, you have a good heart. Therefore, I will give my daughter hand to you." The king held a big wedding and gave his daughter to the poor man.
