Title Myit magaw rawng ai hkan (Wicked animal) with English translation
Description Translation (Rita Seng Mai)
Once upon a time, there grew a huge tree in a jungle. On the top of the tree, a formel built a nest and was living with her children. On the ground under that tree, there was a wild sow. She had many boarlets too. And a wild cat was living in a small tree beside that big tree. He was thinking of an idea of how to find food for himself. He was too lazy to find food from a distant place. He said to a formel, "My neighbour! The wild sow living under the tree is always waiting for the time when you go out to search for food. She is thinking to destroy the tree and eat your children." The formel believed his words. So, she did not go anywhere because she thought, "If this tree falls, I will have to carry my children and escape from here." The next day, the wild cat went to the wild saw and said, "My neighbour sow! The formel is always planning to eat your boarlets and feed her children while you are away from your place. I overheard their conversation yesterday." The sow also believed the wild cat. Both the formel and the wild sow totally believed him. So, they were just looking after their children without going out to find food. For a long time, they didn't go outside to search for their food. After many days, they died because of starvation. The hawk family died first. At that time, the wild cat climbed the tree and ate all of them. A few days later, the wild boarlets died. The wild cat ate them too. But the mother sow didn't die. Then, she thought, "I can't stay like this anymore. All of my babies died because of starvation. I have to find food to survive." And she told the wild cat, "You are a wicked animal. I will never believe you again! Stay away from me." Then, they lived far from each other.
