Title Hkawhkam kasha masum hte tsi hka a lam (Medicinal water ) with English translation
Description Translation (Gun Mai)
A long time ago, there were a king and his sons in a palace. It was the king and his three sons. One day, the king was sicked seriously. Even though the king received medical treatment from the medical experts in the palace, the king was not recovered. And, the king had been sicking for years. So, the three sons told the king that "Father, today." Ah, sorry. Since the king could not speak anymore and was almost dead, the three sons were very unhappy and cried outside of the palace. When they were crying, an old man came to them. "Hi, children, why are you crying," the old man asked. "Our father has been sicking for years and it seems he is going to die because he also doesn't speak anymore. Since he is not getting well, we are unhappy and crying," the three sons answered The old man then said that "Don't worry, children. There is medicinal water to treat your father. Go and find the water. The medicinal water is very good. If your father can get even one or two drops, your father will be recovered." So, the three sons told their father. The eldest son said first that "Father, I will definitely save you. I heard that you can be recovered with even one or two drops of medicinal water. So, I will go and find the medicinal water." "Son, it is located in a very far place. Don't go," the king said. Then, the eldest son thought to himself that "Whatever my father said, if I can save him, he will give me this palace." "I must go, father. I have to save you," the eldest son said and went to find the medicinal water. After he travelled quite far, he met an old man in a place where there were many mountains. "Boy, where are you going," the old man asked. "Such an old man! I am even depressed myself. Don't disturb me and don't waste my time. Get out of the way," the eldest son rebuked the old man and continued his journey. The old man thought to himself that "This boy is very bad. You will know about me." Then, the old man swore the boy quietly. The eldest prince continued his journey. When he got to the middle of three mountains, the mountains got closer and closer. Then, the three mountains were stuck together so the eldest prince was stuck there. Because the eldest prince had not returned even after one to two months, the people in the palace were amazed and thought that the eldest prince was dead. So, the second son went again. "Father, let me go and find the medicinal water to save you," the second son said. The father said that "Son, even your elder brother did not return. Don't go. It is dangerous to go. I will die when my time comes. Don't go." The second son also thought to himself that "If I can save my father, he will give me this throne. So, he said that "I will go." And, he left the palace. As previously, he also met with an old man on the way. The old man was with staff and also hold two loaves of bread. "Boy, where are you going in such a far place?" the old man asked. "Don't talk to me. I am even depressed myself. Get out of my way," the second son rebuked the old man. The old man also swore quietly that "You will know about me." The second son also continued this journey and there were two mountains. When he entered the two mountains, the mountains were shaken and stuck together. So, the second boy including his horse was stuck there. Because the second son did not come back yet after one and two months, the people in the palace were amazed. So, the youngest son said again to the king that "Father, I will save you. Let me go and find the medicinal water." The king then said that "Son, even your two elder brothers did not come back. May be they are dead. Thus, you have to look after the palace after I die. There will be no one to replace my throne if you go. Don't go." "Whether you die or not, I want to save you. Let me go," the youngest son. "If you such keen to go and find, I won't hinder you. You are allowed to do," the king said. Then, the youngest son went to find the medicinal water. After he got quite far, he met with the old man again. "Hi boy, where are you going in such a very far place?' the old man asked. The youngest son politely told that "Old man, my father is sicking very seriously. An old man said that if I can find the medicinal water and give my father even one or two drops, he can be recovered. That's why I cam to find the medicinal water." After the youngest boy explained, the old man then thought to himself that "This boy is very good and honest. I will guide him." And, the old man said to the boy that "Boy, do you know where is the medicinal water?" "No, I don't know where it is. Can you please guide me?" the boy said. The old man then said that "Take my staff. And also take my two loaves of bread. I will send you there. I will send you to the place where there is medicinal water." Then, the old man brought the boy to a big cave where there were different rooms with the door. "Quickly out at noon otherwise you will be stuck there forever," the old man said. The boy said that "Yes," "When you go there and open the door, you will meet a tiger. Give the two loaves of bread to the tiger," the old man said. When the boy got to the big cave, the door was closed. He remembered what the old man told him to touch the door with the staff. So, the boy touched the staff to the door and the door was opened. Then, when he entered inside, he saw the two big tigers were lying down and they seemed aggressive. So, the boy threw and fed the two loaves of bread to the tigers. Then, the boy continued and saw a room. When he opened the room, there were a lot of people who were bewitched by nats and they were tied. He untied the people and also saw a sword and two loaves of bread again. He took the two loaves of bread and put them into his bag. He also took the sword. When he got into another room, he saw that a very beautiful princess was arrested. The princess said to herself that "I thought that my life will be ended here. But, there is a man to save me today," and she came out and said to the boy that "Do you come to find the medicinal water?" "Yes, I came to find the medicinal water," the boy said. So, the princess said that "So, I will show you where the medicinal is," and they went. Then, the boy put the medicinal water in his bamboo bottle and covered it well, and then, they returned. As soon as the boy got to the outside, the time was at noon and the door was closed. And, the boy's shirt was clipped at the door and all clothes were torn. When they got to the door, the girl said that "I thank you very much because you saved me. In one year, please come to my country and palace, and let's meet." They were separated there. The girl's country and the boy's country were closed. The boy continued his journey to return home. On the way to return home, the boy met again with the old man. "Hey boy, why don't you return home? what are you still looking for?" the old man asked. "My two brothers are missing for two to four months. Do you know where they are?" the boy said. The old man said that "Yes, I know. I am teaching them." The boy then said that "If they are not with me, I can't return home. Otherwise, my father will be sorrowed." "OK, because you are good, I will release your brothers," the old man said and released the two elder brothers. The three brothers continued to return home together. They slept one night on the way because it was a long journey. When they were sleeping, oh no, when they travelling, there was a war in one country. The country was almost lost in the war. The youngest son used his sword and joined in the war because the old man said that the sword was to save the people. Because of his help, the country gained victory in the war. They continued to travel and when they got to another country, people in the country faced hunger. So, the youngest son shared the bread that he brought and continued their journey. After they passed the two countries, they got dark so they slept for a night on the way. The two elder brothers thought that "Whatever...." Oh... the youngest brother said to the two elder brothers about how he took the medicinal water. The two elder brothers were dishonest so when the youngest brother was sleeping soundly, they took the medicinal water from the youngest brother and returned to the palace. When they got to their father, as the two elder brothers already replaced the medicinal water of the youngest brother, they said that "give the medicinal water that the youngest brother brought first to father." So, the youngest son gave his medicinal water but the father's sickness got worse even almost dead. Then, the two elder brothers said that "Drink this medicinal water that we brought." So, when the father drank it, he was recovered completely. So, the father got very angry and drove the youngest son out of the palace. "You are killing me. Get out!" the king said. The youngest son left and after about one year, a lot of presents were sent to the palace. It was valuable things such as gold, silver, and jade. The letters were also included. So, the king opened the letters and it said that "Thanks a lot to the youngest son because he helped us when were very difficult." Thus, the king said that "My youngest son is very good. It is very regretted that I drove out my son." And, The king in another country who was the father of the princess who the youngest son saved arranged for her daughter to marry anyone. The daughter of the king was very smart. She laid gold carpet from the door to the room. She also instructed her guards that "Only allow to enter those who came through this gold carpet. Drive out those who do not come through this gold carpet." The eldest son of the king came first and when he saw the gold carpet, he said to himself that "It is the gold carpet so I don't want to step on it. I will go through another way." So, when he went through another way, the guards drove him out. Then, the second son also came and he also saw the gold carpet. So, he said to himself that "It is the gold carpet. I don't want to step on it," and went through another way. So, he was also driven out. Then, the youngest son also came and he rode on a horse. He was just thinking about what the princess told him to meet again in one year. So, he did not see the gold carpet as he was just thinking and got to the room. He was allowed to enter because he came through the gold carpet. And, they married. They celebrated a big wedding party and he brought his wife to his country. And, he explained to his father everything about how his elder brothers replaced the medicinal water. So, the king got very angry and was about to drive the two elder sons out of the palace. But, the youngest son said that "Don't drive out my elder brothers. If you drive out them, no one will rule this country." Then, he let the two elder brothers stay in the country. And, he went to the wife's country and became the king of the country.
