Title Nga hkwi sha ai kawa (The fisherman father) with English translation
Description Translation (Rita Seng Mai)
Once upon a time, there was a family. The father was a fisherman. One day, he caught a lot of fish and said, "My wife, I have caught a lot of fish. Let's eat it." The family cooked and ate the fish together. The next day, the father went fishing again. He went fishing. One day, he went fishing and caught just a few fish. He went back home with a few fish. His wife asked him, "Do you get just a few fish today?" He said, "Yes, I couldn't catch a lot of fish today." The next day, he went fishing again. But he didn't get any fish. He went back home and said, "I haven't caught any single fish today. I will definitely catch a lot of fish tomorrow." He said that to his wife. He went fishing the next day. He threw the fishing net to catch fish, but he couldn't catch any fish. Then he pooped near the water. His child secretly followed him and looked at him pooping. The child saw that the fish was eating his father's poop. Then, the father caught the fish at that time. The child went back home and told his mother, "Mom, Dad is catching fish by using poop as bait. He catches that fish and feeds us." When the father arrived home, he said, "My wife, I have caught a lot of fish today." His wife angrily told him, "You are feeding us that dirty fish! Don't come back home!" And she closed the door. He was upset and devastated. And he flew up to the sky.
