Title Kawng Du ni a lam (History of the Kawng Du people) with English translation
Description Translation (Roi Ban)
Now, I would like to tell the short history of Kawng Du. We Kawng Du, are a race of Lahpai. Our forefather of Lahpai came from Lahpai Wa Dai Na La. Our forefather of Kawng Du lived in the village of Hkrawng Sin Wa or Hkrawng Village. When an elder of our village gave the gift of Shu Magwi kawng (Elephant tusk) as an honor to our forefather that day. They didn't accept that honor because the gift will be their name as Shu Kawng (Frog tusk), and they denied it. Eventually, they tried to build their houses to the most hillside. That was why they named as Kawng Du.
