Title Zi ga n chye ai dingla Jinghpaw la (The Jinghpaw old man who does not speak Zaiwa) with English translation
Description Translation (Gun Mai)
An Azi man had a gong. A Jinghpaw man had a goat. The Azi man really liked the goat of the Jinghpaw man. Although he really wanted the Jinghpaw man's goat, he did not have money. Since he only had the gong, he planned to tell the Jinghpaw man to exchange with the gong for the goat so he went to the Jinghpaw man. But, the Jinghpaw did not understand his Azi language and he also could not speak the Jinghpaw language. He brought the gong and when he got to the Jinghpaw man, he said to the Jinghpaw man that "Dalwi lwi dalom me, pale le kya ra ra. Da du htai byi la aw." The Jinghpaw man replied, "What did you say?" The Azi man said again that "Dalwi lwi dalom me, pale le kya ra ra. Da du htai byi la aw." The Jinghpaw man got angry so the Azi man left. It meant that what the Azi man wanted to say was that "Let's exchange what you have the goat with what I have the gong." But, since he could not speak the Jinghpaw language and the Jinghpaw man got angry, he left and returned home.
