Title Ja hpai mi sha (The lazy mother) with English translation
Description Translation (Rita Seng Mai)
Once upon a time, there was a lazy woman in a village. One day, she gave birth to a child. When her family called her to go to the field to work, she always said, "I can't leave my child alone. He is naughty." Actually, she just gave a reason because she was too lazy to work. She just said it, although her son was well-behaved. Whatever her family ordered her to do, she never did and just used her child as a reason. Her family thought that her child was really naughty, so they didn't let her do any work. She just needed to look after her child. God couldn't bear hearing her say that her child was naughty. One day, the child was dead. God took the child's life back. She was sorrowful and cried when her child was dead. She was crying by saying, "My lovely baby, you are my sweetheart. I have always used you to give reasons when I don't want to work. I don't have anyone to use as a reason now." Then her husband and family knew that she was just using her baby because she was super lazy and didn't want to work. She regretted too. That's why we can't lie and be false.
