Title Myit galu ai hte nau n chye pawt ai num a lam (The patient woman) with English translation
Description Translation (Htoi San)
The story is about a woman who was so patient and did not get angry quickly. A long time ago, there was a mature wife in the family. Their family never argued or fought, although the other families got a lot. The husband blamed the wife in many ways, but the wife did not quarrel with her husband with her patient mind. One day, the husband thought, "I will beat my wife this time," and then he picked up a wooden stick to beat her. The wife welcomed the husband, talking softly, " You carry a wood log even when you are so tired. You bring the wood log." She took the wood nicely from her husband. The next time, the husband set an issue, "This time, this woman. I can definitely fight with her." He brought snail shells, which were already eaten by others. At that time, the wife thought, "This man. He brought snail shells where there were no flesh inside." However, she made herself calm and killed a chicken. After that, she chopped the pure chicken meat for her children to eat. She patiently took the rest with chopsticks and put them into the snail shells one by one. She cooked the snail shells, which her husband brought nicely for dinner. Her husband thought he could quarrel with his wife tonight and came home. When he sucked the snail shells, he found out there was meat inside to eat. So he could not fight with his wife. From then on, the husband became mature and never looked for a way to quarrel with the wife.
