Title Mahkri galaw ai lam (How to cook pickled bamboo shoots) with English translation
Description Translation (Rita Seng Mai)
I will tell you how bamboo shoots pickle has been made. In the past, when it was time to pick bamboo shoots, it was in September or October, all the villagers went to the place where there were many bamboo shoots. They dug a big hole there. And everyone harvested the bamboo shoots. Young people could harvest a big one, and old people like us harvested the small one. After that, we sliced them into pieces and put them in the hole. We dug a big hole there. And we put banana leaves inside the hole layer by layer. We pickled bamboo shoots. When they were sour enough, one person from each family went there. And they took some bamboo shoots pickle. Everyone could take as much as they wanted. Some took a lot and dried them under the sun. They made them dried. When we send some presents or gifts to others, we put some pickled bamboo shoots inside the gifts. Or we put chillies inside them. Some people who owned green tea farms picked the leaves and made them dried. And they gave green tea leaves as presents.

Collection title Kachin folktales told in Jinghpaw
Description Recordings of Kachin folktales and related narratives in Jinghpaw. These materials were collected by Keita Kurabe, Gumtung Lu Awng, Sumdu Ja Seng Roi, Hpauhkum Htu Bu, Labang Tu La, Gumtung Htu Nan, and Lashi Seng Nan as part of community-based collaborative fieldwork in northern Myanmar. A total of 2,491 stories with 2,481 ELAN files, 2,481 transcriptions, and 1,369 translations are currently available (March 25, 2024). Transcriptions were contributed by Gumtung Lu Awng, Pausa La Ring, Galang Lu Hkawng, Sumdu Ja Seng Roi, Hpauhkum Htu Bu, and Keita Kurabe. Stories were translated by Nbanpa Rita Seng Mai, Sumlut Gun Mai, Lazing Htoi San, Maran Seng Pan, Dumdaw Mike Tu Awng, Nhkum Htoi Awng, and Keita Kurabe.
