Title Kanu na ga n madat ai u kasha a lam (The bird child who did not listen to his mother) with English translation
Description Translation (Htoi Awng)
The story is about obedience. Long time ago, there was a bird family. There were the mother bird and her two babies. The second baby bird didn't usually listen to his mother. He was naughty. One day, there was storm and heavy wind. The mother said, "My sons, listen to me. Stay quietly under my wings." The elder son listened to her and stayed like that. He believed his mom and did exactly as his mom told. The mother was hanging on a branch of a big tree and covered her two sons. The mother said not to look down the tree during the storm. But the younger son didn't listen to his mom and tried to look down the tree by getting out from his mom's wings. Then, he fell down from the tree and died. Finally, there were only the mother and the elder son left. This was about a bird who did not have obedience.
