Title Myit su ai kasha (A clever and obedient child) with English translation
Description Translation (Rita Seng Mai)
The title of the story is 'A clever and obedient child'. Once upon a time, there lived a father, mother, one daughter and one son in a village. They were not so rich. But they could afford to eat well and wear nicely. The father was a pastor. The father and mother used their great effort in serving God and made a living. In that way, they raised their children. In that village, there was no person who was educated and graduated. But their children were graduated since they put lots of effort. Their children became clever and obedient people. One day, a boy who lived in another village loved their daughter and wanted to marry her. That boy's family was rich. Then, the girl's parents agreed to let their daughter marry him. But she had a lover. So, she thought, "Shall I just marry the boy whom my parents agreed? Or shall I just elope with my boyfriend?" But she and her boyfriend had different religions. The boy whom her parents agreed to let her marry had the same religion with her. Then, she kept praying to know what to do correctly. She thought to herself, "Instead of marrying a person who has different religions with me, I would rather marry the boy who has the same religion. I will just listen to my parents." God showed her the way how to do. She decided and told her parents about that. The boy asked formally for the hand of her in marriage. And the boy's parents also loved her so much. Then, they got married happily. When she lived in her husband's house after marriage, she wasn't happy. But her husband loved her so much and did everything for her. Then, she fell in love with her husband. She even loved her husband more than her boyfriend. The blessings of God showered upon her. And she felt so happy. She could show the affections and love to her parents too. Her spouse who was given by God was clever and obedient too. She had got a partner who really loved her. And she could give birth to a baby boy successfully. Their family was filled with happiness. Since she was an obedient child for her parents, she got lots of blessings from God.
