Title Bainam sat sha ai hkan jidwi a lam (The old woman who ate sheep meat) with English translation
Description Translation (Seng Pan)
This is about an old man and his grandson's slaughtering goat. A long time ago, there lived a grandfather and his grandson in a village. One day, rarely all the villagers went to the field. Only the grandfather and his grandson remained at home. So, they stole their neighbour's goat. They slaughtered and ate it. When the neighbour arrived back home, he found out his goat was missing. So, he asked around the village. But all villagers were not at home except the grandfather and his grandson. They all went to the field like him. At last, he asked the grandfather if he had seen his goat. The grandfather answered, "No, we don't know." When the time the neighbour asked about the goat, both of them were standing next to each other and the neighbour was standing beside the grandfather. As the grandfather forgot to remind his grandson not to tell the truth, he blinked at his grandson while he was asked if he had seen the goat. However, the poor grandson couldn't think of why his grandfather blinked at him. So, he just stared at him and said, "Today, the eye of the goat that we butchered and ate was similar to grandad's."
