Various vocabulary words and sentences
The Kuanua language has many dialects and variations but understood across the ‘Tolais’ people of Gazelle Peninsula of New Britain. My understanding of these variations is dependent on their place of origin and historically the ‘Tolais’ originated from New Ireland through a series of migrations. The Nodup dialect has connections with the Siar language in the Namatanai district of New Ireland. [language notes provided by Steven Gagau, June 2017] |
