Title The snake and the eagle
Description A legend about the snake and the eagle. This is a commonly encountered legend in the area. In this version, a woman collects some of her blood in a cup and from this a snake and an eagle are born. The eagle builds a house for him and his mother in a large tree, and the snake can't get up there. He goes off and kills the entire population of another island. The eagle is eventually killed when he is caught stealing sago.
