Title Folktale: the wicked father
Description A folktale told by Poruporu. Two children, maltreated by their father, left their home and got married with two sisters at another place. They worked hard, made a big garden and made a big feast. After the feast they went back to their home to find that their father died of hunger, and their mother was also nearly dead. They made her survive by giving her food, and told her how her husband had maltreated them. DO's handwritten transcript (01-06) and typed Eng translation (07), and DL's handwritten transcript (08-13).
