These narratives are fables, or "andai-andai" in Besemah, told by Sawia (F, 78). The first (BJM01-026-01) is entitled "Tuan Penatih anak due", which is translated as Mr. Penatih has two children. The second is entitled "Si Nam-nam gha enam", which is translated as Nam-nam's six siblings. They were recorded on a Marantz PMD670 solid-state recorder with an Audio-Technica AT825 microphone and a small Pure Digital Point & Shoot Video Camcorder. |
