Description Fanafo, NaGriamel, dancing, singing, New Years Eve 1969; (tape held in the Monash Music Archive); recording of a competing Christian group deliberately walking in procession between the microphone and the traditional singers. It was type of musical confrontation between past pagan traditions and the new zealous modern Christian tradition. An example of conflicting cultures in social change.These tapes were kindly provided by the Monash Music Archive.
